Dedicated to the memory of our dear and lost friend Bruno Simões'

«‘Electric Fields’ is the opening track on this electronic river of sonic beauty and bliss. Progressive from the moment it kicks in, climbing higher than Mount Everest. It reminds me of something but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Highly influenced by Kraftwerk’s ‘Computer World’, also Depeche Mode’s ‘Strange Love’ era minus the vocals (note this is purely an instrumental group). ‘Red Zone’ kicks off more powerful than the previous work of art. OMD springs to mind on this rapid, yet looped storm of synthesizer heaven. If The Cure had of teamed up with Neu! for an intergalactic studio stand off during both their hay days, this would be somewhere close to the outcome, and you won’t want it to end it’s that good. ‘Games’ spins off into a completely different direction, I’m hearing Brian Bennett (estranged drummer of The Shadows) solo works on this fine slice of minimal arpeggiated genius. The bass is high in the mix, waltzing across a field of uber-prog synth patterns that will surely bury its way into your skull. ‘Shallow End’ is reminscent of The Horrors ‘Luminous’ album, very similar arrangements, and why not? for Southend’s goths of yesteryear vastly became one the greatest and most diverse groups Britain had seen since the early days of scouse synthpopster’s A Flock Of Seagulls. There’s a great mood to this one, mostly due to the hypnotic bass line scaling its way throughout. ‘Disconnection’ has a depth so far and beyond that the repetition is more than perfection. Shimmering like a star in an ocean of ambience and psychedelia, the ringing of high hats pan between the speakers followed by that minimal bass journeying its way through a sea of never ending pitch bends. One thing that is forefront is the production. Put it this way; if you love progressive electronica with a dab of post-punk that will have you hanging off the edge of your seat with an empty glass begging for more, then look no further, as no one else lately has accomplished this type of sound as well as this fine duo. Find it asaph.» (Gavin Tate)
